Darkroom Studio
Event Video Production in Hong Kong
An event film brings together the moments that explain what happened and how it felt to be there. Darkroom Studio films events and edits highlight videos that connect the programme, people and atmosphere.
A conference, brand launch and exhibition opening each have different priorities. We work from the running order, key moments and intended audience to plan coverage and decide what material the final film needs.

Before, during and after the event
01
Plan the coverage
Review the running order, venue layout and must-capture moments. Agree interviews, stage coverage, access, sound feeds and any restrictions before the event.
02
Capture the event
Organise filming around the programme and agreed priorities, including speakers, guests, demonstrations and atmosphere. Crew size and camera positions follow the coverage requirements.
03
Build the edit
Select material, shape the sequence and work on music, sound, colour, titles and subtitles. Define the main film and any shorter or vertical versions in advance.

The event duration, number of venues or simultaneous sessions, camera coverage, interview needs, audio arrangements and delivery deadline affect the production. Editing scope and the number of versions should be considered alongside filming hours.
Share the event date, venue, running order, expected coverage and where the video will be used. If you need a fast edit, mention the required delivery time so that feasibility, staffing and approvals can be planned together.
Can you make a highlight film and shorter social versions?
Yes, the project can include a main highlight film and shorter versions. Agree the platforms, aspect ratios, lengths and key messages before filming so the footage supports those outputs.
Can speeches or panel discussions be included?
They can be included when planned in the coverage. Clear sound is important, so access to the venue audio feed and any recording permissions should be confirmed in advance.
Is a same-day edit always possible?
It depends on the running order, available footage, editing requirements and approval process. A same-day request needs a separate production plan and confirmation; it is not assumed in standard event coverage.
