Darkroom Studio
Privacy Notice
Updated 29 October 2026
This notice explains how Darkroom Studio handles information collected through this website and enquiries about our production services.
Information you provide
The enquiry form requires your name, email address, budget range and project message. An enquiry may also include the service or case page you came from and other project details you choose to provide. Before submission, this browser tab may keep an optional record of up to 20 public page paths and visit times in on-device sessionStorage. A new record starts on the next visit after 30 minutes without a recorded page visit. Page query strings and fragments are removed; an external referring website is recorded only as its hostname, not its full URL. This browsing context is attached only when you submit an enquiry with consent, to help us understand its context. It does not record your screen or text you type into fields. If browser storage is blocked or the record is unavailable, you can still submit the enquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or information about other people unless it is necessary and you are entitled to share it.
How we use enquiries
We use this information to understand your project, respond to your enquiry, prepare proposals and keep a record of our correspondence. Enquiries are stored in private storage; email is a separate notification channel. Authorised team members and authorised tools used by the team may access records for follow-up. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Technical information and cookies
Website hosting and security services may process information such as your IP address, browser details and request logs. The enquiry form uses a hidden anti-spam field, pseudonymous source identifiers and content fingerprints to detect repeated submissions and limit notification spam. Enquiries held for review remain in private storage. Submitting the form does not depend on a third-party verification service. The website loads Google Tag Manager and records technical performance and interaction events; the data processed depends on the analytics tags in use. Administrative sign-in uses a session cookie. Your browser settings can manage or block cookies, which may affect some functions.
Service providers and embedded media
We use Vercel for website hosting and private enquiry storage and Resend for enquiry email notifications. Pages may load media or tools from providers such as YouTube, Vimeo and Google. These providers may process technical information when their services are loaded, and may process data outside Hong Kong under their own terms and privacy notices. Links to WhatsApp and social platforms take you to those services.
Retention and security
We retain enquiry information for project follow-up, correspondence and relevant business or legal needs. The website does not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period. Access to enquiry records is restricted and changes to working records are logged. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your requests and contacting us
Contact info@darkroom.hk to ask about your information, request access or correction, or raise a deletion request. Please include enough information to identify the relevant enquiry without sending additional sensitive details. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests are handled in line with applicable requirements and any information we need to retain.
