Summer dressing suggests lightness and ease. Pacific Place commissioned Darkroom Studio to create a series of Instagram Reels for its tenant brands COS and ba&sh. The films translated “Effortless cuts” and “Laid-back elegance” into short visual stories offering seasonal styling inspiration.
Visual Storytelling: Movement in the Sunlight
Unlike still photography, the reels used movement and rhythm to reveal the clothes:
Motion and Fabric: The camera followed the model’s steps, using slow motion and tracking shots to capture the movement of a linen dress and show how its cut behaves when worn.
Sunlit Texture: Natural light established the atmosphere of a sunlit stroll. Close-ups revealed the woven texture of a raffia bag, bringing a holiday-inspired detail into an urban setting.
Setting the Mood: Colour choices and changes of scene turned Pacific Place’s architecture into a setting for fashion, expressing a relaxed, confident approach to everyday style.
In Use: Fashion and Lifestyle for Social Viewing
The reels combined product presentation with lifestyle imagery, placing the brands within Pacific Place’s fashion setting. Vertical framing gave the films a full-screen mobile format designed for social viewing and interaction.
