Centralcon — The Arles: An FPV Tour of Fo Tan

Use this as a reference

Project background: a new perspective on a Fo Tan development

The Arles in Fo Tan highlights its proximity to rail transport and its clubhouse facilities. Darkroom Studio was commissioned to create an FPV film offering an alternative to a conventional, static property presentation. The first-person viewpoint takes viewers into the development and gives a sense of its connected spaces.

Visual approach: a continuous journey through the spaces

The FPV approach links different aspects of the development in a flowing visual sequence:

Transport connections: The opening creates the impression of travelling from Fo Tan MTR station into the development, making the location and its relationship with the station easy to understand.

Gardens and clubhouse: The camera moves through landscaped outdoor areas and into the clubhouse. Transitions between exterior and interior spaces connect the facilities within one continuous-looking journey.

A moving view of the show flat: Rather than rely only on fixed wide shots, the sequence moves through the show flat, from the living area towards the balcony, allowing viewers to follow the layout and its views.

Creative outcome: an immersive way to explore the property

The FPV film offers prospective viewers a moving tour of The Arles. Its fluid pace gives the client a dynamic format for presenting the development's spaces across digital channels.

Q&A

What filming approach does the film use?+

To present the scale and setting of the development, we use first-person-view (FPV) drone imagery. Compared with a conventional elevated aerial perspective, the sequence follows a first-person route connecting architecture, the rail setting and clubhouse facilities. The continuous-looking camera movement creates an immersive experience.

How does the film communicate the development's proximity to the railway?+

The Arles is next to Fo Tan MTR station. The film's visual route connects the train and railway setting with the development's podium and interiors. This flowing sequence explains the relationship between the station and the property through images rather than relying only on a map.

Why use a faster-paced FPV style for a property film?+

A moving tour offers an alternative rhythm to a traditional property presentation. Here, speed and dynamic movement turn the exploration of the spaces into a visual journey. The approach suits short online viewing and gives the development a contemporary presentation without replacing the factual information buyers need.
